Terms of Use

Last updated August 25, 2026

This site is run by Brian MacDonald from Orange County, California. Using it means you accept what is on this page. It is short because the site is simple: writing, a newsletter, a few things you can hire me for, and a free workout on a beach.

The writing is mine

The articles, guides and everything else here are my work. Read them, use what you learn, quote a passage with a link back — all fine and the reason it is published. What is not fine is republishing whole pieces as your own, or feeding the archive into a product you sell. If you want to reprint something in full, ask me; I usually say yes.

It is information, not advice

Everything here describes what has worked in my own business and my clients'. It is general information, not professional advice for your situation, and nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax or investment advice. Your business is not mine, and the results I write about are not a promise of yours. Decisions you make after reading are yours.

The newsletter

Free, and you can leave whenever you like — every email has one-click unsubscribe and it works immediately. What happens to your address is in the privacy policy.

Paid work

The prices shown on the services page are what they say: the AI Assessment is $499 and that $499 is credited toward your first month if we go on to work together; AI Marketing Operations starts at $3,000 a month; the Fractional CAIO seat is by conversation. Seat limits are real — I do the work myself, which is the point and also the cap.

This page is not the engagement. Any actual work is governed by what we agree in writing at the time — scope, schedule, fees and cancellation live there, not here, and that agreement wins wherever the two differ. Booking a session is a request for time, not a contract for a result.

Affiliate links

Some links on the tools page earn me a commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. That is disclosed on the page itself, above the list. It does not change what gets listed — I list what I run.

The Thursday workout

The Strands Beach Workout is free, informal and open to anyone. It is exercise on a public beach, not a supervised program — you take part at your own risk, you are responsible for knowing whether you are fit to, and you should talk to a doctor first if there is any doubt. Registration is handled by SweatPals under their own terms.

Links to other places

This site links out — to Mavrick, to tools, to a booking scheduler, to a signup page. Those are other people's services with their own terms and their own privacy practices, and I do not control what happens once you leave.

No guarantees, and limits

The site is provided as it is. I keep it accurate and online, but I do not warrant that it will always be available, error-free, or right for your circumstances. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for losses arising from using it or relying on it. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

If these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. Continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.

Where this applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
